Conference organizing by Sree Siddartha Education Society, Tumkur,
Karnataka (India).
The theme of the National Conference is INSPIRING LIBRARY SERVICES (NCILS) -2013

The objectives of the conference is to bring together all the library
professionals to a common platform, to facilitate the exchange of ideas and

Vacancy for Library Trainees
The
Indian Institute of Technology Gandhinagar (IITGn) library is looking
for young, dynamic, tech- savvy, highly motivated and committed fresh Post-Graduates in Library & Information Science from recognized Indian universities to serve as Library Trainees purely on a temporary basis for one year.
Essential Qualifications: Master’s in Library & Information Science ( MLISc) with First Class
Nature of Traineeship: Learn while you work on different functions & services of the library.
Duration: The duration of traineeship will be for one year (usually July-July).
Remuneration: Consolidated stipend of Rs.16,000/- per month.
The selected candidates will have to work from Monday-Saturday (six days a week) and be ready to work in different shifts and weekends on rotation basis.
No TA/DA will be paid to the candidates for attending the written test & interview.
Selection of candidates will be based on the performance in the written test & personal interview.
Number of Vacancies: FOUR.
Age Limit: 26 years as on 3rd July, 2013 (the date of test & interview).
Interested candidates who meet the above mentioned basic requirements may send their application with resume inserting a passport size photograph to it, to librarytrainees@iitgn.ac.in by 21st June, 2013 and directly come for the written test & interview without waiting for a call letter. The written test will be in English.
Candidates
are requested to bring with them the certificates (original & one
set of photocopy) in support of date of birth and qualifications.
Candidates
who have appeared for their final year examination and are expecting
the results before the test & interview date may also apply. but
must produce the final marks sheet at the time of test & interview,
in proof of them having passed the examination in FIRST CLASS.

Call for Papers for ICDL 2013 to be held during 27-29 November
TERI is organizing ICDL 2013 (International Conference on Digital Libraries) during 27–29 November 2013 at India Habitat Centre, Lodhi Road, New Delhi. The conference would be inaugurated by Hon'ble VICE PRESIDENT OF INDIA. The major objectives of this mega event are:

Paper submission guidelines and date
ICDL invites original papers typed on MS Word. The word limit for each paper is 5000 words. All papers should be written in English for acceptance for presentation in the conference. Each submitted paper will be reviewed by a panel of experts and only well-researched and well-written papers will be accepted for presentation. It is expected that all accepted papers will be presented at the conference by the author(s).A few papers shall also be selected for the poster session presentation. The conference proceedings that will be distributed to the participants will include the selected papers (for presentation at the conference) and abstracts (selected for presentation in the poster session).
Papers may be submitted either in hard copy format to the ICDL secretariat or online, using the conference website or electronically at < ICDL2013@teri.res.in>. For details of paper submission guidelines and submission.
