Name of the Post: District Library Officer
Number of Vacancy: 2 (1 reserved for O.B.C. ‘A’)
PAY: Rs.15, 600/- Rs. 42,000/- (PB – 4A) plus Grade pay Rs. 5,400/-.
Educational Qualifications: Essential: (i) Master’s Degree in Library Science of a recognized University or equivalent; Or A Second Class Master’s Degree of a recognized University plus a degree/diploma in Library Science of a recognized University or equivalent. (ii) 3 (three) years’ experience in administration, management, promotion and development of Library Services/System in a responsible capacity; Or 3 (three) years’ experience taken together in the following:- (a)Administration, management, promotion and development of Library Services/System in a responsible capacity and (b)Teaching in Library Science in a recognized Institution: Provided that at least 2 (two) years’ experience must be in (a) above.
Desirable:
(i) Knowledge of audio-visual education; (ii) Capacity for touring in rural areas.
