The Dayalbagh Educational Institute is a Deemed University under Section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956 as per Notification No. F.9-3/78-U-3 dated 16.5.81 issued by the then Ministry of Education & Culture, Government of India.

Applications in the prescribed form are invited for the post of Faculty Librarian Gr.-I - 2 Posts, 1UR and 1SC

Faculty Librarian Grade-I (Rs.15600-39100) (Grade Pay Rs.6000): 

Master’s Degree in Library Science/ Information Science/Documentation or an equivalent professional degree with at least 55% marks or its equivalent grade with a consistently good academic record and atleast 3 years relevant experience OR

(i) Master’s degree in Arts/ Commerce/ Science/Social Science or equivalent degree with at least 55% 

marks or its equivalent grade with a consistently good academic record;

(ii) Bachelor’s degree in Library Science/ Information Science/ Documentation or an equivalent professional 

degree with atleast 55% marks or its equivalent grade with a consistently good academic record; and

(iii) Atleast 3 years relevant experience.

Clearance of NET shall be mandatory for both the above qualifications, unless relaxed by the UGC
