JNCASR (a deemed to be university and autonomous body under DST, Govt. of India) requires Library Trainees. JNCASR library houses small but rich collection of books and a vast collection of online journals in the area of science. With complete automation with frontier technologies and software, the library offers an effective learning environment for the freshers in the profession. During the training period the trainees get a practical experience of all library operations.
Essential Qualification: A degree in Science and full-time Master degree in Library and Information Science (MLISc) or equivalent from a recognized university
Desirable knowledge/skills
Candidates with technical processing skills, familiarity of MARC21, computer applications in library management and automation, will be preferred. Preference will also be given to those who have completed internship in reputed libraries.
Tenure: Initially for 6 months (extendable as per performance and actual need)
Remuneration: Rs. 8,000-12,000
Depending upon candidate's qualifications, and in accordance with the norms of JNCASR.
The trainees are require to work in shifts (9:00 am to 3:30 pm & 2:30 pm to 8:30 pm from Monday to Saturday)
