VACANCY OF DIRECTOR (JOURNAL, PUBLICATION AND LIBRARY) AT Indian Council of Historical Research/(Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India), New Delhi

Pay Band PB-3 Rs.15600-39100 + Grade Pay Rs.7600.
Age Limit - 45 years.
Essential education qualification for Direct Recruitment -
(a) A Doctor’s degree in History or research work of an equally high standard.
(b) Adequate experience in Editing.
(c) Sound knowledge of research methodology in History.
(d) 5 years experience in teaching/ research with published papers in reputed journals.
for Deputation -
(a) Editor-cum-Project Officer with 5 years service in the grade.
Period of deputation: 1 year, extendable upto 3 years.

In respect of applications received only by post (by post/speed post/ from the candidates residing in Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram, Manipur, Nagaland, Tripura, Sikkim, Jammu & Kashmir, Lahaul and Spiti district and Pangi sub-division of Chamba District of Himachal Pradesh, A&N Islands or Lakshadweep or abroad, the last date for receipt of applications will be 37 days instead of 30 days. The benefit of extended time will be available only in respects of applications received by post/speed post from the above- mentioned areas/regions. In the case of applications received by hand or through courier service, benefit of extended time will not be available regardless of the place of residence of the applicant.
