Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology, Delhi (aka. IIIT-Delhi or IIIT-D) was created as a State University by an act of Delhi Government (The IIIT Delhi Act, 2007) empowering it to do research and development and grant degrees. IIIT-Delhi was officially established on 10th June, 2008 as per this notification in the Delhi Gazette. First class (for BTech(CSE) students) was held on 8th September, 2008.
The Institute invites applications for the position of Library Trainee (s) on purely contract basis.
Required Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline with Certificate/Diploma/ Degree in Library and Information Science.
Maximum Age Limit: 25 Years (As on 31.10.2012)
Stipend: Between Rs.8,000/ and Rs.10,000/ p.m. depending upon qualification, experience etc.
Selected trainees will be trained in various aspects of Library such as Acquisition, Cataloguing, Classification, Serial Control, New subscription/Renewal of Print and Electronic Journals, Circulation, Reference Service, Working on Institute Archive/Institutional Repository, RFID etc. The Library and Information Center may remain open till late hours on holidays and weekends. The Institute shall, however, try to accommodate schedule constraints.
