National Workshop on impact of IT on Scientometric Studies

Dear Professionals,

The Department of Library and Information Science, Bharathidasan University, Trichy - 24   is organizing aDST-PURSE Sponsored National Workshop on “Impact of Information Technology on Scientometric Studies” on 17th February, 2014 at DLIS-Smart Class Room.

Workshop Themes:

The Workshop aims the assessment of research performance and focuses on the contribution of scholarly work.

The Participants will be oriented and trained the following areas:

·    Citation and Indexing Database (Web of Science, Scopus, Engineering Village 2)

·    Mapping of Research (Histcite, Vos Viewer, Free mind, Popplet)

·    Testing of Bibliometric Laws

·     Index Calculation ( H-Index,  G-Index, GH-Index, P-Index etc.,)

       

Registration Fee

All those who wish to participate are requested to apply in advance before 15th February 2014 along with the registration form. 

The registration fee of Rs.200/= for professionals and Rs.100/= for students and Full time Scholars. The resource Kit, Working Lunch and High Tea will be provided.
