A walk-in interview will be conducted on 26 May 2014 at 11.00 A.M. for recruitment of the following positions on purely temporary basis in the Library of Indian Statistical Institute, Kolkata.
- Two Project Assistants for the project entitled Digital Preservation and Conservation of Rare Documents.
- Two Project Assistants for Rearrangement of book collections and updating online catalogues
- Two Library Trainees
Essential Qualification: 1st Class Master Degree in Library & Information Science
Pay: Rs 11700.00/month
Tenure: The appointment will be upto 31 March 2015, which may be extended later/terminated earlier, depending on the availability of funds and performance of the candidate.
Age: 35 years as on 1st Mat 2014.
Candidates appearing for the interview are required to bring with them the application addressed to the Director, Indian Statistical Institute, Kolkata along with bio-data stating (a) Name, (b) Address and telephone number, (c) Email, (d) Guardian’s Name, (e) Date of Birth, (f) Educational Qualifications (with % of marks obtained in each examination); (g)SC/ST/OBC/PH Status along with attested copies of all certificates. They should also bring the original certificates for verification. Candidates will have to report at the Office of the Library, Indian Statistical Institute, 203 BT Road, Kolkata 700108, on the day of interview half an hour before the time.
