Vacancy of Librarian and Library Information Assistant in Railway Recruitment Boards

Government of India, Ministry of Railways, Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) issued Centralized Employment Notification for recruitment of various Ministerial, Isolated Categories and Teachers Posts. Eligible Indian National Candidates Apply on the prescribed online application format reach to any one of the RRBs on or before 10th November 2014.

Age Relaxation: 05 Years for SC/ST; 03 Years for OBC; 10 Years for PWD (13 Years for OBC, 15 Years for SC/ST). 03 Years for Ex-Serviceman; 05 Years for State of Jammu & Kashmir Residents during the period from 01/01/1980 to 31/12/1989.

Educational Qualifications:

Librarian -> Matriculation plus Certificate for Library Training from recognized institution.

Library Information Assistant -> Degree from a recognised University or equivalent. Degree in Library Science (B.Lib.) from a recognized University or equivalent.

Selection Process: Single Stage Written Examination followed by Skill Test / Interview and Documents Verification. Written Examination will be held on the same day by all participating RRBs.

For posts of Librarian / Library Information Asstt., Staff & Welfare Inspector, Asstt Catering Manager/ Catering Supervisor Gr-lll/Asstt Canteen Manager, Horticulture Inspector/ Horticulture Supervisor/Field Man(Horticulture), Publicity Inspector, Sr Publicity Inspector, Catering Inspector, Photographer, Head Cook/Commercial Cook, Finger Print Examiner, Lab Assistant III -> 18/01/2015 (Sunday) 

Examination Fee: A non-Refundable fee of Rs.100/- for all categories. The Fee should be paid in the form of a crossed Demand Draft (drawn at the main branch ofany of the Nationalized Banks), valid for a period of three months or in the form of Crossed Indian Postal Order drawn in favour of 'ASSISTANT SECRETARY OR SECRETARY OR MEMBER SECRETARY OR CHAIRMAN OF RAILWAY RECRUITMENT BOARD," of concerned RRB. No fee for SC/ST/Ex-Servicemen/PWD/Women/Minorities and Economically Backward Classes having annual family income less than Rs.50,000/- Candidates.

How To Apply: Candidates can apply for a particular post to any one of RRB only. The application (prescribed format) complete in all respect, can be sent by ORDINARY POST to the Railway Recruitment Board concerned upto 10/11/2014 (till 17.30 Hrs). For candidates residing in Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram, Manipur, Nagaland, Tripura, Sikkim, Jammu & Kashmir, Lahoul & Spiti districts and Pangi sub-division of Chamba district of Himachal Pradesh, Andaman & Nicobar and Lakshwadeep islands and for candidates residing abroad, the closing date for receipt of applications by ORDINARY POST will be 25.11.2014 upto 17.30 hours. The envelope containing the application duly filled should be clearly super-scribed "Application for the Post of____CEN NO.____Category No.____ & Community(SC/ST/OBC/PWD/Ex-SM)" and should be sent to the respective RRBs through Ordinary Post.
