Located in New Delhi, the Institute will draw naturally upon its access to the capital's diverse tradition of crafts and textiles, as much as to its rich history in architectural design. Even so, the Institute's endeavour will be to produce professionals with a unique aesthetic sensibility and a thorough grounding in modern technologies to suit the dynamism and competitive standards of the global design industry.
We are looking for a Librarian (Library and Information Services) for their Institute in South Delhi. The brief profile would be as below:
Designation : Librarian (Library and Information Services)
Work Experience : 3-5 yrs (minimum)
Education: Post Graduate in Library and Information Sciences preferably M.Phil/Ph.D from reputed and recognized University/ Institution
Reporting to: The Dean
Personality & Must have : Mature, Self driven with capability of handling the tasks independently.
To be Impressive, Energetic, he or she should represent the IIAD brand strongly. Should be a very good presenter, courteous and suave.
IT Skills and computer proficiency should be good. Good knowledge of Library packages like LIBSYS, SDS/ISIS etc. Should have knowledge on library network and other library websites.
Job Description :
The Candidate is expected to demonstrate reasonable amount of skills and maturity in the following:
General Library Management with staff of 2 members
Student information and student dealing/ late & fine management alongwith Library Repository.
Listing/ Cataloguing/ price comparison of recommended readings and publications
Ordering of books/ journals etc
Requisition of subject guides and resource material from Kingston University, London
Extensive use of Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) for suggested readings/ journals and articles/ questions papers/ course information sheets etc.
Process Student ID cards
Interact with Faculty/ Dean Academics
Facilitate visits and documentation and showcase library resources to officials of Kingston University and other International University visits.
Basic Knowledge of publishing industry will be a plus
In addition the candidate is also encouraged to develop new and innovative methods and processes in the areas of information sciences.
Salary: Negotiable and commensurate with skills and qualifications, approx range of 3-4 lac + per annum
Location: South Delhi, Working Hours 9.00 a.m ? 6.00 pm (Monday thru Saturday) (Candidates from south Delhi will be preferred).
