Essential Qualification:(i) Master’s Degree in Library Science of a recognized University or equivalent; OR A Second Class Master’s Degree of a recognized University plus a degree/diploma in Library Science of a recognized University or equivalent. (ii) 3 (three) years’ experience in administration, management, promotion and development of Library Services/System in a responsible capacity;OR 3 (three) years’ experience taken together in the following:- (a) Administration, management, promotion and development of Library Services/System in a responsible capacity and (b) Teaching in Library Science in a recognized Institution: provided that at least 2 (two) years’ experience must be in (a) above. 
Desirable Qualification: (i) Knowledge of audio-visual education; (ii) Capacity for touring in rural areas.
Pay Scale: Rs.15,600 - 42,000/- (PB – 4A) plus Grade pay Rs. 5,400/-.

Age: 35 years on 01.01.2015
