RECRUITMENT OF NON-TEACHING POSITIONS

The Central University of Tamil Nadu, an Institution established by an Act of Parliament, invites applications for the following Non-Teaching posts on Regular / deputation basis.

1. Post: Librarian

Pay band & Grade Pay: Rs.37,400 – 67,000 + GP - Rs.10,000/- 

No. of Posts: 1(UR) 

Qualifications: 

Essential:- 

i) A Master’s Degree in Library Science / Information Science /documentation with atleast 55% of marks or its equivalent grade of B in the UGC seven point scale and consistently Good Academic Record. i.e. Candidate must have obtained at least 50% marks in each of the two public examination / degrees 

immediately preceding the Master’s degree. 

ii) 13 years of experience as Deputy Librarian in a University Library or 18 years of experience as a college librarian. 

iii) Consolidated API Score points as per the UGC regulation 2010 

iv) Evidence of Innovative Library service and organization of published work. 

Desirable:- 

M.Phil. / Ph.D. degree in Library Science / information Science / Documentation / Archives and Manuscript keeping.

2. Post: Professional Assistant (Library)

Pay band & Grade Pay: Rs.9,300 – 34,800 + GP - Rs.4,200/- 

No. of Posts: 1(UR) 

Qualifications: 

Essential: 
i) Bachelor’s Degree in Library Science / Information science. 
ii) Five years relevant experience in a University / College Library. OR 
i) Any Master’s Degree with a Diploma in Library Science Master’s Degree in Library Science 
ii) Two years relevant experience in a University/ College library

Age Limit: 35 years

3. Post: Semi Professional Assistant (Library)

Pay band & Grade 

Pay: Rs.5,200 – 20,200 + GP - Rs.2,800/- 

No. of Posts: 1(OBC) 
Qualifications: 
Essential: 
Bachelor’s Degree in Library Science / Information science with two years 
relevant experience in a University / College Library. OR 
Any Master’s Degree with a Diploma in Library Science / Master’s Degree in Library Science with one year relevant experience in a University/ College library.

4. Post: Library Assistant 

Pay band & Grade Pay: Rs.5,200 – 20,200 + GP - Rs.2,000/-
