Applications are invited for filling up of one post of Junior Documentation Officer (General Central Service Group ‘A’ Gazetted Non-Ministerial) on direct recruitment basis in the Department of Science and Technology as per details given below:-
1. NAME OF THE POST: Junior Documentation Officer
2. SCALE OF PAY : Rs. 15600-39100 (PB-3) + Grade Pay Rs. 5400/-
3. METHOD OF RECRUITMENT: By promotion/transfer on deputation (including short-term contract) failing which by direct recruitment basis.
4. NO. OF VACANCIES: One
5. EDUCATIONAL AND OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:
ESSENTIAL
i) Master’s Degree in Science from a recognized University or equivalent.
ii) Degree or equivalent Diploma in Library Science of a recognized University or Institution.
iii) 5 years experience in a Library of a recognized Institution under a state/ central Govt./ Universities/ R&D Organisations.
Note 1: Qualifications are relaxable at the discretion of the U.P.S.C. in case of candidates
otherwise well qualified.
Note 2: The qualifications(s) regarding experience is/are relaxable at the discretion of the U.P.S.C. in the case of candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes. If, at any stage of Selection, the U.P.S.C. is of the opinion that sufficient number of candidates from these communities possessing the requisite experience are not likely to be available to fill up the vacancies reserved for them.
DESIRABLE
- Masters Degree in Library Science of a recognized University or equivalent.
6. AGE LIMIT :
Not exceeding 35 years. (Relaxable for Government servants upto 5 years in accordance with the instructions or orders issued by the Central Government).
