CSMCRI is a National laboratory under CSIR. The Institute undertakes a wide range of R&D projects in marine chemicals, coordination chemistry, catalytic transformations, membrane separation, solar thermal applications, marine algae, stress tolerant plant, and stress genomics. The Institute has excellent infrastructure by way of sophisticated analytical instruments, modern laboratories, pilot plants, library, local area network and workshop. Applications are invited in the prescribed form from talented and result-oriented Indian Nationals for the following posts:
Technical Assistant, Library and Information Science (1 Post) [UR]:
Job Description: The candidate will be involved in a variety of duties, including acquisition of books and periodicals, circulation related duties, maintenance of patron database, receiving and invoicing items in acquisition module, generating statistical reports for print periodicals, etc.
Essential Educational Qualification: First Class B.Sc. (Sci.) with B.Lib.Sc.
Desirable: 1-2 years relevant experience in a computerized library and knowledge of library software, eresources and databases is desirable.

Duly completed applications accompanied by attested copies of the certificates/testimonials in support of age, educational Qualification, experience, caste etc., along with a non- refundable fee of Rs.100/- (Scheduled Caste / Scheduled Tribe / Physically Handicapped candidates & regular employees of CSIR are exempted from payment of application fee) in the form of Demand Draft drawn in favour of the Director, CSMCRI, Bhavnagar payable at any of the Nationalised Bank at Bhavnagar should reach the Administrative Officer, CSIR-Central Salt & Marine Chemicals Research Institute, Gijubhai Badheka Marg, Bhavnagar - 364 002 (Guj.) by 11.01.2013. SC / ST / Physically Handicapped candidates should enclose a copy of certificate on the prescribed proforma issued by the competent authority in support of their claim along with application form. Candidates should
