IIT Ropar invites applications for the position of Assistant Library and Information Officer

(ALIO) on contract basis.

Job Details:

Position: Assistant Library and Information Officer (ALIO) on contract.

Educational Qualification and Experience:

Essential: Master’s Degree in Library and Information Science or equivalent from a recognized University.

Experience: At least 05 years working experience in an academic Library set­up, out of which minimum 02 years of experience in the libraries of IITs, IIMs, IISERs, NITs, or other Centrally funded Institutions.

Desirable: (i) Higher Academic qualification and experience in Library and Information Science.

(ii)Proficiency in handling electronic and print subscription in the automated library environment

Job Type: Contract

No. of Posts: 01

Duration: Initially for a period of one year

Age Limit: No

Pay: Rs. 20, 000/­ per month (consolidated). Higher Salary may be considered for those with higher qualification and experience.

Hiring Process: On the basis of interview
