Satish Dhawan Space Centre SHAR is a lead Centre of Indian Space Research Organisation situated at Sriharikota in Andhra Pradesh. Satish Dhawan Space Centre SHAR has facilities of Solid Propellant Production, a Rocket Motor Static Test Facility and Launch Complexes for variety of rockets, Telemetry, Telecommand, Tracking, Data Acquisition and processing facilities and other support services.

Scientific Assistant (Library Science)

Essential Qualification

1. Graduate in First Class

2. First Class Master’s Degree in Library Science/Library & information Science or equivalent

No. of Post: 01 (SC)

Age limit: 18-35 years as on 04.02.2013

Relaxation in upper age limit by 05 years for SC/ST candidates and 03 years for OBC candidates.

Ex-servicemen and Persons With Disabilities (PWD) are eligible for upper age relaxation and reservation as per Government of India Orders.

Pay and Allowances: Pay Band Rs.9300-34800/- & Grade Pay Rs.4600/-

· After On-line submission, it is mandatory for the applicant to send the printed application form (confirmatory copy of application) duly signed and affixed with latest passport size colour photograph along with the following documents by ORDINARY POST without which online application will not be considered.

1. Attested copies of all testimonials in proof of educational qualifications including mark lists, caste, experience (if any) etc.,

The National Centre for Radio Astrophysics, Pune [NCRA] of the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research [TIFR] [an autonomous institute under the umbrella of the Department of Atomic Energy of the Government of India] is an internationally reputed research institute. NCRA-TIFR is located inside the Pune University Campus. Facilities operated by NCRA-TIFR include, the Ooty Radio Telescope (ORT) and the Giant Metrewave Radio Telescope (GMRT). Located about 80 KM north of Pune, GMRT is the world’s largest radio telescope at metre wavelengths. NCRA is on the lookout for suitably qualified candidates for the following positions:

 1. Scientific Assistant-B [Library] [1 Post: OBC, HQ: Pune]

Essential Qualifications: (i) B.Sc. with at least 60% marks and Graduate in Library Science with minimum 60% marks  (ii) Should be conversant with using of personal computers and running applications on it.

Desirable: Preference will be given to candidates having extensive knowledge of Information Technology including the use of Library Management Softwares.

Essential Qualifications: i) Graduate with  55% marks ii) Knowledge of use of personal computers and applications, iii) 5 years experience in administrative/ accounts field in a large and reputed organization.

Desirable: Experience in work related to handling transport, security, canteen, stores, purchase, inventory management, maintenance of Accounts in web based applications, good communication and drafting skills in English. (ii) Degree in Commerce, Diploma in Management.
