Essential Qualification: Ist Class B.Sc. (Sci.) with One year Diploma in Computer Application. 

Desirable: One year experience in Library/Knowledge Resource Centre/Documentation Centre from a Research/Academic organization. Knowledge of working on a Library management software and management of online/e-resources. 

Job Requirements: To assist in various activities of the library and manage the resources including resources, databases and other online applications. The incumbent is required to work for the information services being provided by the Knowledge Resource Centre including the institutional repository. 

GENERAL CONDITIONS 

1. The prescribed educational qualifications should have been obtained from recognized Board/Institutions/Universities. 

2. Applications must be accompanied with an application fee of Rs. 500/- (Rupees Five Hundred only) in the form of Banker Cheque/Demand Draft drawn in favour of the Director, Central Drug Research Institute, payable at Lucknow. SC/ST & Persons with Disability are exempted from application fee.

Society for Promotion of Libraries (SPL), Uttar Pradesh In Collaboration with Society for Library Professionals (SLP), New Delhi and Society for Promotion of Environment, Education and Development (SPEED), Mahoba.  is organizing a National Conference on “Libraries: Towards Digital Paradigm” on 24^th February 2013 at Ravindralaya, Charbagh, Lucknow, (U.P.) India. The purpose of the conference is to have exchange ideas of Libraries towards digital paradigm by emerging trends and technologies which are puzzling the LIS community both in application and academia. The tidal flourish of ICT has already started compelling Libraries and Information Centers to analyze new trends and work out strategies so as to play a vital role in the newly emerging global knowledge society. It has not only brought a change in the library and information services, but also on the roles of librarians and information professionals. Some of the challenges that the information professionals are required to strategically address include Cloud computing, Leadership, digital divide, knowledge society, Mobile Technology, E-HRM etc. They have to stay relevant in increasingly flowing and lively knowledge Society by incorporating strategic foresight to explore new markets, products and services and ultimately meet emerging user’s needs.
