VACANCY OF CATALOGERS AT MARCNOW, NEW DELHI

MARCnow, a Modi Group company, provides cataloging services to leading academic research and public libraries in the USA and Europe. Our clients currently include many of the top libraries in the world, such as Harvard, Princeton and Yale. We catalog materials across a range of languages (with translation provided by an in-house team of Language Experts) and work with any media including books, manuscripts, microforms, journals, monographs, etc. As a part of our expansion plans, we are currently recruiting additional Catalogers.

Candidates should have:
- University level education (History, Computer Science, Maths, Science) or its equivalent
- Diploma, Bachelors or Masters in Library Science and knowledge of MARC or the cataloging standard
- Knowledge of AACR2
- Extensive knowledge about the world- extensive general knowledge
- Curiosity to learn new things
- General knowledge of internet searching techniques
- Attention to details
- Good command of English in speaking and writing
- Foreign languages knowledge preferred but not required

4. Junior Library Assistant: 15 posts

5. Junior Clerk: 23 posts

Age limit: Candidates age must be 27 years for Sr. No. 1, 2, 3 posts and 45 years for Sr. No. 4 posts as on 15-03-2013. Upper age limit is Relaxable as per the rules.

Educational Qualification: Candidates must possess Bachelor’ Degree in any discipline from a recognized university for Sr. No. 1 post, Bachelor’ Degree in Science Sr. No. 2 posts,Intermediate (Class XII) for Sr. no. 3 posts, Bachelor’s Degree in Library Science for Sr. No. 4 posts and Bachelors’ Degree in any discipline along with typing speed of 40 words per minute in English/Hindi for Sr. No. 5 posts.

Selection Process: Candidates will be selected based on the performance in writtenexamination, Typing Test, personnel interview.
