Name of the Post: Assistant Librarian
No of Post : 1 (one)
Qualification : The minimum educational qualification is graduate and Bachelor Degree in Library Science from any recognized University.
Scale of Pay : Rs. 5,200-20,200/- + Grade Pay Rs. 3,300/-PM. in Pay Band -2 and admissible allowances.
Age Limit : 43 (Forty Three) years (in case of General and OBC/MOBC candidates) as on 01-01-2016. The upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years for SC/ ST (P) and ST (H) candidates as per prevailing Govt. Rule.
Deposit Fee : The Examination Fee of Rs. 20/- for General and OBC/MOBC and Fee of Rs.10/- for reserved categories shall have to be deposited by Treasury Challan under Head of Account "0070- other Administrative Services" 60- other services, 800-other Receipts (10). And the duplicate challan copy must be enclosed with the application. Examination fee deposited by any other way shall not be entertained.
How to Apply: Application in Standard Form as published of the Assam Gazette with self attested photo copies of all Testimonials including the Certificate in proof of age and 2 (two) copies of recent passport Size photographs should reach the office of the Principal Secretary, Assam Legislative Assembly, Dispur, Guwahati-781 006.
