It is proposed to fill up 04 (four) vacant posts of Assistant Library & Information Officer in Pay Level- 7 (Rs. 44900- 142400) of the Pay Matrix [Pay Band-2, Rs. 9300-34800 with Grade Pay Rs. 4600, in pre-revised scale of pay] in the National Medical Library under Directorate General of Health Services, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare on deputation (including short-term contract)/absorption basis from the officers of Central Government or State Government or Union Territories or Autonomous or Statutory Organisation or Public Sector Undertakings or Universities or Recognised Research Institutions:-
(A) (i) holding analogous post on a regular basis in the parent cadre or department; or
(ii) with five years’ service in grade rendered after appointment thereto on a regular basis in Pay Level-6 (Rs. 35400-112400) of the Pay Matrix [Pay Band-2, Rs. 9300-34800 with Grade Pay Rs. 4200, in pre- revised scale of pay] or equivalent in the parent cadre or department; and
(B) Possessing the following educational qualifications and experience:-
Essential:
(i) Bachelor’s degree in Library Science or Library and Information Science from a recognised University or Institute.
(ii) Two years’ professional experience in a Library under Central or State Governments or Autonomous or Statutory Organization or Public Sector Undertaking or University or Recognised Research Institute or Educational Institute.
Desirable:
(i) Master’s degree in Library Science or Library and Information Science from a recognised University or Institute.
(ii) Diploma in Computer Applications from a recognised University or Institute.
Note 1: Period of deputation (including short-term contract) including the period of deputation (including short-term contract) in another ex-cadre post held immediately preceding this appointment in the same or some other organization or department of the Central Government shall not be exceed three years. The maximum age limit for appointment by deputation (including short-term contract) shall not be exceeding fifty- six years as on the closing date of receipt of applications.
Note 2: The departmental officers in the feeder category who are in direct line of promotion shall not be eligible for consideration for appointment on deputation. Similarly, deputationist shall not be eligible for cosideration for appointment by promotion.
Note 3: Only Central Government or State Government employees are eligible for consideration for appointment on absorption basis.
2. It is requested to forward the applications of interested & eligible officers in the given proforma through proper channel so as to reach the undersigned within 60 (sixty) days from the date of publication of this Advt. in the Employment News. While forwarding the applications, it may please be ensured that the particulars of the candidates are verified. The applications must be forwarded alongwith the following documents:-
(i) Original/attested photocopies of the APARs for the last 5 years.
(ii) Vigilance clearance certificate.
(iii) Integrity certificate.
(iv) No Major/Minor penalty certificate for last 10 years.
3. Application received without aforesaid documents or after prescribed date, shall be rejected.
