Qualifications: -
i) Uniformly good academic record with B+ Master’s Degree in Library Science or B+ Master’s degree followed by a Bachelor’s degree in Library Science,
i) Uniformly good academic record with B+ Master’s Degree in Library Science or B+ Master’s degree followed by a Bachelor’s degree in Library Science,
ii) At least 10 years experience of working in administrative/management position in a Library of a University or in an
Institute preferably of Post Graduate Studies,
iii) Age not less than
40 years as on 01.01.2013 which is relaxable in case of exceptionally
qualified candidates.
Desirable Qualifications.
i) A Doctorate Degree or published research works of
similar merit,
ii) Knowledge of at least one foreign language (other
than English)

The Jay Jordan IFLA/OCLC Early Career Development Fellowship Program
The Jay Jordan IFLA / OCLC Early Career Development Fellowship Program provides early career development and continuing education for library and information science professionals from countries with developing economies. The program is jointly sponsored by the International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions (IFLA) and OCLC. On an annual basis program sponsors select up to five individuals to participate in a four-week intensive Fellowship program based at OCLC's headquarters in Dublin, Ohio, USA. Topics and issues include information technologies and their impact on libraries, library operations and management, and global cooperative librarianship.
Program guidelines
The Fellowship Program is for library and information science professionals who are in early stages of career development and from countries with developing economies. Eligibility is limited to those who are from a qualifying country, have a degree in library or information science obtained within the past five years, and have at least three years, but no more than eight years, of library or information science experience. These and other qualifications are explained in detail in the Program Guidelines. Interested candidates should read the guidelines and, if qualified, complete and submit the application by the specified due date.
