A Walk-in interview for the following positions are to be held on July 8, 2016 in the IGNOU Campus, Maidan Garhi, New Delhi for the National Virtual Library Project of the Ministry of Culture:
1. Project Associate – Library Science (PA- LS)
No. of Positions: 15 (4 to 5 persons to be posted in Kalyani University, West Bengal or RRRLF Kolkata)
Consolidated salary per month: Rs. 35, 000/-
Essential Qualification: MLIS degree from recognized institutions
Experience: Two years experience in cataloguing and indexing. Preference will be given to those who have experience in Koha and DSpace.
Duration: Six months (extendable to 3 years based on performance)
2. Trainees – Library Science (TR- LS)
No. of Positions: 30 (8 to 10 persons to be posted in Kalyani University, West Bengal or RRRLF, Kolkata)
Consolidated salary per month: Rs. 18, 000/-
Essential Qualification: BLIS degree from recognized institutions
Experience: Preference will be given to those who have experience in cataloguing and indexing and working in Koha and DSpace.
Duration: Six months (extendable to 3 years based on performance)
