As you might be aware that ETD 2015-18th International Symposium on Theses and Dissertations on a theme “ Evolving Genre of ETDs for Knowledge Discovery” is being organized at Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi from November 4 to 6 2015. 1. LIBRARIAN: (Pay Band Rs. 37400-67000 with AGP of Rs. 10000)

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS

Specialisation:

A Master’s degree in Library Science/Information Science/Documentation with at least 55% of the marks or its equivalent grade for 55% where grading system is practised.

A PhD degree in the above discipline and /or allied discipline with a consistently good academic record.

At least thirteen years as a Deputy Librarian in a University Library or eighteen years’ experience as a College Librarian.

Evidence of innovative library science and organization of published work.

A minimum score as stipulated in the Academic Performance Indicator (API) based Performance Based Appraisal System (PBAS) developed by UGC in these Regulations.

Desirable: An M.Phil / Ph.D Degree in Library Science/ Informative Science/ Documentation/ Archives and Manuscript keeping.

2. Deputy Librarian -[ 1 Post – SC ]

Essential Qualification & Experience

A Master’s degree in library science/information science/documentation with at least 55% of the marks or its equivalent grade of B in the UGC seven point scale and a consistently good academic record.

Five years experience as an Assistant University Librarian/College Librarian.

Evidence of innovative library services, published work, professional commitment and computerization of library.

A minimum score as stipulated in the Academic Performance Indicator (API) based Performance Based Appraisal System (PBAS) developed by UGC in these Regulations.

Desirable: An M.Phil/Ph.D Degree in Library Science/ Information Sciences/ Documentation/Archives and Manuscript Keeping / Computerization of Library.

3. Assistant Librarian- 2 Posts-[1-UR, 1-OBC]

Essential Qualifications:

A Master’s degree in library science/ Information Science/ documentation science or an equivalent professional degree with at least 55% marks or equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed and consistently good academic record with knowledge of computerization of library.

Qualified the national level test conducted for the purpose by the UGC or any other agency approved by the UGC.
