Functional Area: Library operations.
Qualification: Diploma in Library Science(Full time) + with any Full time Bachelor Degree (B.A or B.Com or B.Sc)
Experience: 1- 2 Years. Working experience in different sections of the special library (Industry/R&D Centres)
Location: RBEI, K-Centre & Information Services, Bangalore. Candidate should be willing to relocate to other locations for Coimbatore or Vice Versa, in case of need.
Essential Skills:
Language skills:
* Fluency in English Language.
Library Science Skills:
* Acquisition- Printed & e-books, Cataloguing (AACR2), Classification (DDC/UDC), Article Indexing, Reference Service, and Circulation service, serial control, Information Search-Manual & online, CAS, SDI and Stock Verification. Proficient in using any one of the following library applications-Libsys or NewGenLib or Koha for library automation & user services
Computer:
* Proficient in/hands on experience with MS Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint & Outlook). Newsletter Designing using HTML( HTML Tools- MS Front page or MS Studio Ulitmate or similar)
Desirable Skills:
* Catalogue & Archive electronic resources (differnet file formats) using Digital Library applications like GSDL or DSpace or E Print).
