The Admission Test for the PhD programme in the Department of Lib & Inf Science, Gauhati University will be held on January 23, 2014 (11.30 AM to 02.00 PM) at the Department premises.
The admission test will be of 100 marks with the break up as shown below. Candidates are advised to submit details of their Professionals activities in tabular form including information regarding NET qualification, LIS experiences, Training/ workshop participation, Paper publication and Seminar presentation on the day of written test.
Break up of Marks (Total Marks 100)
LIS and related areas 25
Research Methodology 25
Synopsis of the Research proposal 40
Professional Activities 10
Questions will be of both subjective and objective types.
NB: The Serial Numbers assigned to each candidate may be used as Examination Roll Number for the Admission Test.
No document (Mark sheet, Certificates, etc) is necessary on the Admission Test Date. These will be verified at the time of admission only.
