Applications are invited for filling up vacancy of Inspector (Librarian), Group ‘B’ in Indo-Tibetan Border Police Force

RECRUITMENT FOR THE POST OF
INSPECTOR (LIBRARIAN)

Applications are invited from Indian citizens ( Male or Female) for filling up the existing 01
(One) vacancy of U.R. category on temporary basis likely to be permanent, in the post of
Inspector (Librarian), Group ‘B’ in Indo-Tibetan Border Police Force. The post has All India
liability and selected candidate can be posted anywhere in India and even abroad. The selected candidate will have to complete the prescribed basic training successfully. On appointment, the candidate shall be governed by the ITBPF Act and Rules.
2. Last date for receipt of applications is 31.03.2014 for all States except for Assam,
Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram, Manipur, Nagaland, Tripura, Sikkim, Ladakh Division of Jammu & Kashmir State, Lahaul and Spiti District and Pangi Sub-Division of Chamba District of Himachal Pradesh, the Union Territory of Andaman & Nicobar Islands and Lakshadweep for which last date is 07/04/2014. 3. PAY SCALE AND OTHER 

ALLOWANCES:-
a) Pay Scale – Pay Band -2, Rs. 9300 – 34800 plus Grade Pay of Rs. 4600/- per month.
b) Other allowances: The post will carry Dearness Allowance, Ration Money,Washing Allowance as admissible from time to time, Special Compensatory Allowance while posted in specified border areas, free uniform, free accommodation or HRA, Transport Allowance, Free leave pass and any other allowance as admissible in the Force from time to time under the rules/instructions. The post will be covered under new Restructured Defined contribution Pension scheme.

4. A candidate appearing for the test should mention/intimate if any criminal case(s) is/are pending/lodged against him in any police station/Hon’ble court.

5. ELIGIBILITY CONDITIONS
(i) AGE: – 20 to 30 years. Cut off date for determining the age will be-31/03/2014. Note :-
(a) Upper age limit is relaxable for Government servants upto five years in accordance with the instructions or orders issued by the Central Government.
(b) Upper age limit is relaxable upto 5 years in the following categories:-
i) The children and dependent family members of those killed in 1984 riots and riots of
2002 in Gujarat. Children and dependent family member should produce a certificate
to that effect from the Collector of the concerned District where the victim was
killed.
ii) In case of all persons who had ordinarily been domiciled in the State of Jammu &
Kashmir during the period from 1st day of January 1980 to 31st day of December
1989.
c). Ex-Servicemen:- An Ex-serviceman, who has put in not less than six months
continuous service in the Armed Forces, shall be allowed to deduct the period of such
service from his actual age and if the resultant age does not exceed the prescribed maximum
age by more than three years, he shall be deemed to satisfy the condition regarding age
limit.
(ii) EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:-
i) Graduate from a recognized university;
ii) Degree in Library Science or equivalent from a recognized University or Institution;
iii) Certificate course in Computer Application from recognized Institute;
iv) Minimum two years professional experience in a Library under Central Govet/State
Govt or University or Research Institution.

6. HOW TO APPLY AND BY WHICH DATE:- Eligible and interested candidates should send their Applications (duly filled in Hindi or English only) complete in all respects and Candidate’s Admit Card duly filled, in the prescribed proforma as per Annexure ‘I’ and Annexure ‘II’. The application, either type written or neatly hand written in ink/ball pen, on one side only on full size plain paper with passport size photographs affixed on application should be sent alongwith application fee, and attested copies of testimonials as in para 8 to the “The Director Academy, ITBP Academy, P.O. Mussoorie, Distt : Dehradun (UKD)-248007” so as to reach on or before the prescribed last date i.e. 31/03/2014 for all States except for Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram, Manipur, Nagaland, Tripura, Sikkim, Ladakh Division of Jammu & Kashmir State, Lahaul and Spiti District and Pangi Sub-Division of Chamba District of Himachal Pradesh, the Union Territory of Andaman & Nicobar Islands and Lakshadweep for which last date is 07/04/2014.
 7. APPLICATION FEE:- The candidates belonging to all categories will be required to pay
Rs. 50/- (non refundable) as application fee in form of Central Recruitment Fee Stamps (CRFS), in favour of “The Director Academy, ITBP Academy, P.O. Mussoorie, Distt : Dehradun (UKD)- 248007”. No fee will be charged from Ex-Servicemen and Female candidates. The CRFS should affix the CRFS at the specified space on the application form and get them cancelled as well. 

8. ENCLOSURES REQUIRED TO BE ATTACHED WITH APPLICATION:- Attested copies of following documents/certificates are required to be attached with the application form:- a) Educational and professional (Professional experience in Library) certificates. b) Date of birth Certificate (Matriculation Certificate or Municipal Birth Certificate as proof of date of birth).
c) Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe/OBC Certificate (if belonging to any of these categories) issued by an authority not lower than Tehsildar or SDM/SDO. Note: - SC/ST/OBC Certificate, as applicable, must be in prescribed proforma as given at Annexure – III & IV. However, subject vacancy is only for UR(Gen.) category.
d) Domicile Certificate issued by local revenue authorities or PAN Card or Adhar Card
or Driving License or Voter Card etc for verification of citizenship.
e) Certificate as per Annexure ‘V’ for claiming relaxation in height & chest (if applicable)
f) Discharge Certificate for Ex-Servicemen.
g) Two latest passport size photographs. (one pasted on application form and another on
admit card)
h) CRFS of Rs.50/- (applicable for all Candidates except Ex-servicemen and female).
i) One self addressed envelope of 4” x 9” size with Rs. 25/- postage stamp affixed on
the envelope.
j) Envelope containing Application must be superscribed in bold letters “APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF INSPECTOR (LIBRARIAN) IN ITBP” Note- All the above relevant original documents/certificates are required to be brought at
the time of recruitment test for verification by the board.

9. SELECTION PROCESS:- The candidates whose applications are found to be in order
shall be issued Admit Cards to appear in recruitment test. The date and place of recruitment test will be indicated in Admit card. Candidates will have to undergo the following tests:- a) Height Bar – At the very beginning of recruitment process, candidates will be asked to go through the height bar test. The candidates not meeting the prescribed height will be eliminated.
(b) Race – i) The candidates, who qualify the Height Bar Test, will be subjected to qualify 1.6 Kms race to be completed within 10 minutes (for male) and 12 minutes (for female)
candidates before appearing in further tests. No marks will be awarded for this test and it
will be only qualifying in nature. Departmental candidates and Ex Service Men are
exempted from appearing in the event of Race.
ii). Pregnancy at the time of PET(Race) will be considered a disqualification and pregnant
female candidate shall be rejected at this stage.
(c) Checking of documents:- The original documents of candidates will be checked by the
board. Original documents of candidates will be returned on the spot after verification
and photocopies will be retained with the application form. Candidates those who clear
this stage will go to next event.
d) Physical Standard Test(PST):- Candidates who are found eligible on verification of
documents will be screened first for Height, Chest (for male candidates only) and
Weight measurements by the board. Those who do not meet the required Physical
Measurements will be eliminated at this stage.
