LIBRARIAN –CENTRAL TRAINING INSTITUTE –ADMINISTRATIVE UNIT
Pay Band (PB 3 –9300–34800 + GP 4500)-One post

Qualification & Experience :
1. Graduate in Arts / Science with B.L.I.Sc., orM.L.I.Sc.,
2.Not less than two years experience

Desirable:
Computer skills
1.M.S.Office XP
2.Digital Library soft ware knowledge

Job requirements
1.Cataloguing all the books and classifying them under proper headings,viz., subjects, authors, etc
2.Cataloguing all periodicals
3.Recording the issue and receipt of books
4.Registration and circulation of periodicals
5.Watching the compilation of periodicals and arranging for their binding.
6.Circulation of price lists of books and indenting for their purchase
7.Annual verification of the stock of library books
8.Writing off obsolete volumes by periodical scrutiny
9.Checking and passing the bills in respect of the purchase of books andperiodicals
10.Compiling bibliography on special subjects
11.Indexing the abstracts of important articles
12.Taking cutting from dailies, of important articles and circulating them
13.Watching the receipt and non receipt of periodicals
14.All clerical work including correspondence, attendant on the above items.
In addition to the above work of a general nature the librarian scrutinizes applications received from mofussal officers for purchase of books.
Age limit for the above post is below 35 years.
Age is relaxable for experienced and deserving candidates
