It gives me immense pleasure to inform you that a festschrift volume for   Late Dr. Harish Chandra, Librarian, IIT Madras will be published in memory and honour of his contributions and services to the global Libraries and Information Science Community. His service of more than three decades to the organizations of repute and his special contribution in the implementation of ISO and RFID with smart card facility in the Library of IIT Madras are remarkable. He has trained, transferred skills and guided many LIS professionals throughout the country and abroad in his quest for modernization of libraries. To highlight his contributions and his special interest in the field of modernization of libraries, the theme of the festschrift volume has been chosen as “Transforming Libraries and Librarianship” with many sub-themes.
