Applications are invited for the recruitment of one (01) Project linked person purely on temporary basis to work in the project entitled "Prasanta Chandra Mahalanobis: the man & his contributions to the field of Statistical Studies", in the Central Library, Indian Statistical Institute, 203 B.T. Road, Kolkata - 700 108.
Qualification 1st Class Master Degree in any Science/ Social Science subject, or 1" Class Master Degree in English/ Mass Communication, or Ist Class M.Tech. Degree. Preference will be given to the candidates who are familiar/interested with science history.
Desirable: Candidates having experience in digital processing of records.
Tenure of The appointment will be upto 31 March 2016, which may be extended appointment later/terminated earlier, depending on availability of funds & performance of the selected candidate.
Age : The age limit is 35 years as on 01 March 2015. Usual relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/Women and Physically Handicapped candidates.
Candidates are requested to submit the application and bio-data electronically to library@isical.ac.in on or before 28 March 2015.
The application and bio-data addressed to the Director, Indian Statistical Institute, giving particulars of (a) Name (In block letters), (b) Mailing Address, (c) E-mail Address, (d) Telephone/Mobile No.,(e) Father's/ Husband's Name, (f) Date of birth, (g) Academic Qualifications (with percentage of marks obtained in each examination), (h) Experience (if any), (i) SC/ST/OBC/PH status. It is not necessary to submit attested copies of all documents/testimonials
Short listed candidates will be intimated over email/mobile.
The Institute reserves the right not to appoint any of the above.
