a one day National Seminar and Dr. S R Ranganathan Memorial Lecture on Sunday,
August 30, 2015 on the occasion of 21st Delhi Book Fair at Pragati
Auditorium, Administrative Block, *Pragati Maidan*, New Delhi on a very
important theme
"Inculcating Reading Habits in Digital Era: A Challenge to
Libraries".
In the digital age, there are many challenges before libraries
including Inculcating
Reading Habits among its users. Whether, it is a school, collage or public
or any other library, it is fact that the culture of reading books has been
deteriorating drastically. The objective of this seminar is to remember our
beloved Father of Library & Information Science Dr. S R Ranganathan in the
light of the theme of this seminar. There are many questions seeking
answers such as, shall we accept to shift paradigm of digital reading or
remain focus on physical books reading in changing ICT environment or what
measures to be taken to enhance the reading interest among library users.
The seminar is expected to be attended by more than hundred top class
Corporate, Business, Management & Academic institutions library
professionals and faculty members.
