SoFerence 2015 - 3rd National Conference 21 Nov 2015 @ Hyderabad: a Place to Make a Difference

Information Resource Centre of Tata Consultancy Services, Hyderabad in
collaboration with Academy of Library Science and Documentation (ALSD),
Hyderabad is organizing one day conference titled SoFerence 2015: 3rd
National Level Social Conference on Success Stories, Learnings, Creativity,
Case Studies, Best Practices and Failures in LIS and related areas on 21st
November 2015 at Hyderabad.

Theme:

Case studies, success stories and learnings on the following topics are
invited:

- Surveys on using open source software like Koha, Evergreen, Drupal,
Joomla in Libraries
- Cost analysis of using open source software
- Large scale surveys on use of eBooks/ eJournals/web based services
- Library staff satisfaction and competency levels
- Quality of students passing out of LIS Schools
- Use of mobile applications, tablets and ereaders in Libraries
- Use of social media, cloud computing for delivering library services
- Analytics/Big Data opportunities for library professionals

Call for Papers:

Unpublished and original papers on the above theme are invited. Papers will
be accepted after thorough plagiarism check for stage presentation.
Further, based on the participant's feedback and editorial advice, papers
will be selected for the publication in SoFerence Proceedings (to be
published after the event as a print/ebook with ISBN).
Authors to follow the below guidelines, otherwise paper may not be
considered for presentation:

LIS Professionals, Students, Research Scholars, Content Managers,
Information Managers, Publishers, ECM and KM Professionals, Academicians
and others.

Important Dates:

Last date for completed paper submission: October 30, 2015
Last date for registration: October 30, 2015
Notification of Paper acceptance  for presentation closes on: November 10,
2015

Registration Fee :

Working Professionals: Rs. 500/-
Retired Professionals/ALSD members: Rs. 400/-
Students : Rs. 300/-
Registration fee includes Conference Kit, Tea, Lunch & Conference
proceedings (print or e-book to be sent after publication)
Registration is limited to 200 participants (including authors on first
come, first served basis).‎ It does not include any accommodation facilities
hence participants are requested to make their own arrangements
