Jawaharlal Nehru Tropical Botanic Garden & Research Institute, located in the foothills of the Western Ghats at Palode, 45 kms from Thiruvananthapuram, is established with the vision of conservation and sustainably utilizing the plant biodiversity of India, with special reference to Kerala. The Institute undertakes a number of research projects in the fields of biotechnology, biodiversity, floriculture and related areas. JNTBGRI invites applications from eligible candidates to fill up the following posts in various disciplines.
Post: Librarian
Scale of Pay: Rs. 15600-39100 + Grade Pay Rs. 5400/
Vacancy: 01
Qualifications : First class MLIB; One year experience in digital library. Candidates with
Ph.D will be preferred.
Desirable
:
Degree/Diploma in Extension/Training/Journalism. Experience in writing
popular articles, press release, brochures and other extension materials.
Age: Below 35 years for Scientist B, C and Librarian. Age limit may be relaxed in the case of internal candidates
and candidates belonging to SC/ ST/ OBC as per the State Government Rules.
Those who applied earlier need not apply afresh but they can update their credentials, if any.
Their applications will be considered.
Relaxation in age limit up to 5 years (up to 10 years for SC/ST) may be allowed to internal
candidates for Scientist B position. Relaxation in desirable qualification and/or experience
may be allowed to exceptionally meritorious external and internal candidates with proven
records. The Director reserves the right to fill or not to fill any or all of the above positions.
Separate applications must be submitted for each position. Name of the position for which
application is submitted must be superscribed on the envelope. Employed persons may
forward their applications through proper channel. However, an advance copy may be sent.
Application with detailed bio-data, proof of community and a passport size photograph for

2015.
