Indian Law Institute is inviting applications for the position of Librarian

ADVERTISEMENT FOR THE POST OF LIBRARIAN 

Indian Law Institute (a Premier Legal Research Institute under the aegis of Supreme Court of India) is inviting applications for the position of Librarian as detailed below. 



Applicants who have already applied earlier against the Advt. No. ILI/Admn./2016/001 dated 01.05.2016, need not apply again. However, they have to mandatorily submit their updated credentials and API scores as per the Revised Proforma as prescribed in the UGC Regulations, 2016 (4th Amendment). They also need not to pay the application fees.

Librarian (1 Post) – UR: 

Pay Band: Rs. 37,400 – 67,000/- Academic Grade Pay Rs. 10,000/- (Pre-revised) Essential 

Qualifications: 
(i) Master’s Degree in Library Science / Information Science / Documentation with at least 55% of the marks or its equivalent grade of B in the UGC seven point scales and a consistently good academic record set out in these Regulations. 

(ii) At least 13 years’ experience as a Deputy Librarian in a university library or 18 years’ experience as a College Librarian. 

(iii)Evidence of innovative library services and organization of published work. 

(iv) A minimum score as stipulated in the Academic Performance Indicator (API) based Performance Based Appraisal System (PBAS), set out in UGC Regulations on Minimum Qualifications for Appointment of Teachers and Other Academic Staff and Measure for the Maintenance of Standards in Higher Education, 2010. 


OR

Deputy Librarian completing service of three years in the AGP of Rs. 9000 and otherwise eligible as per the API scoring system and PBAS methodology developed in UGC Regulations, 2016 (4th Amendment) with a Ph.D. 

Desirable:
(i) M.Phil. / Ph.D. degree in Library Science/ Information Science / Documentation / Archives and manuscript-keeping. 

(ii) Exposure in working with leading libraries on Law and Allied Subjects with research orientation. 

The competent authority may add/relax any of the requirements specified above so as to shortlist the applications depending upon number of applications received.

Age limit: Upto 50 years as on last date of submission of application.
