APPOINTMENT OF LIBRARY ASSISTANT
The Centre for Soft Matter Research (CSMR) invites applications for the post of LIBRARY ASSISTANT in the Pay Scale of Rs.5,200-20,200 with Grade Pay of Rs.2,400/- (Gross emoluments: Rs.24,842/-) as applicable to Central Government employees stationed at Bangalore.
Job profile : To organize and maintain the present library collection on modern lines; to computerize library collection; to strengthen library collection both in print and electronic forms for books and journals; to maintain and liaise with other related libraries for interlibrary loan and resources sharing.
Qualification:
(a) Educational : Essential :
(i) A Bachelor’s degree preferably in Science from a recognized University;
(ii) M.L.I.Sc. from a recognized University;
(iii) Skill of computer applications in library environment
(b) Desirable
At least one years’ experience of working in a scientific institute’s library (excluding training or short term courses).
(c) Age limit for direct recruits :
Not exceeding 30 years (Relaxable up to 5 years for employees of Govt./PSU/ Autonomous Bodies/CSMR/Universities and candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBCs etc. as per Central Govt. Rules).
Reservation is applicable as per Central Government Rules.
