UGC sponsored National Seminar-St.Stephen's College, Uzhavoor-Parallel session-Media Librarianship

It gives great pleasure to inform you that Department of Oriental

Languages, St. Stephen's College Uzhavoor, in collaboration with Indian

Institute of Mass Communication and Kerala College Librarians Association

is organizing a UGC Sponsored National Seminar on "Mass Communication -

Challenges, Trends and Future" on November 12th and 13th, 2014.The UGC

sponsored national seminar will explore the confluence of journalism, new

media, and technology in mass communications and the impact of convergence

technologies on the individual and society.A parallel session on "Media

Librarianship" is proposed as part of the seminar.I invite you all to

attend the seminar and sent your papers.*Accepted papers will be published

as proceedings with ISBN 978-930000-2-1. Selected papers will be published

as a book with ISBN 978-81-930000-3-8.*

Post – Library Assistant (One)

Job Description: Assisting in acquisition/subscription/renewal of documents, handling circulation counter, reader assistance, use of library management software, preferably KOHA (open source software), information searching, classification & cataloguing, etc. and work in shifts.

Essential Qualification: Candidate must possess Master of Library and Information Science (M.Lib.I.Sc) from any recognized institute/university.

Experience: Applicant should have 2-3 years of experience in any active library with working knowledge of computer applications in the library, experience in handling KOHA is desirable.

Location – University Campus, i.e. BML Munjal University, 67th KM Stone, NH-8, Gurgaon – 123 413, Haryana

Salary - Negotiable
