Walk-in Interview for Temporary Library Information Trainee in JRD Tata Memorial Library, IISc.

Dear All,

Few positions of Temporary Library Information Trainee (LIM)are to be filled at the JRD Tata Memorial Library, Indian Institute of Science, Bengaluru.

JRD Tata Memorial Library is looking for young, highly motivated and committed fresh Post-Graduates in Library & Information Science (like MLISc or its equivalent Degree) from recognized Indian universities to serve as LIM Trainees purely on a temporary basis for the period up to31st December, 2015.

Essential Qualifications:  Master's in Library & Information Science (MLISc) or equivalent with First Class. (SC /ST candidates with Second Class may also be considered)

Nature of training / work : On the job training and required to work in all sections / units of the Library

Remuneration: Consolidated stipend of Rs.14,000/- per month.

Duration of temporary LIM trainee:   up to 31st December, 2015.

(ii) At least 13 (thirteen) years as a Deputy Librarian in a university library or 18(eighteen) years experience as a College Librarian.

(i) He / she shall compile dissertation / field-work based report into monograph (tribe/community wise) under the supervision of a member of the faculty assigned for the purpose from time-to-time. (ii) He / she shall assist in MA/MSc. field-work and dissertation work. 
(iii) He / she shall assist and involve in cultural interpretation of the Museum objects.
 (iv) He / she shall be obliged to undertake any other duties and responsibilities befitting to his position and as assigned by the department from time-to-time.
