Qualifications, Experience etc: The applicants must have completed Masters in Library and Information Science (M.L.I.Sc) or Equivalent with 55% and above marks.
Experience: 0 to 1 year in the related areas with strong communication skills in English (Both oral and written). Should have basic knowledge of MARC, WINISIS, MS–Windows, MS – Office, Cataloguing – AACR II rules and Classification – DDC, and should have ability to develop web pages using HTML.
General Information:
a. Age: 26 years as on Oct 1, 2015.
b. Remuneration: A consolidated amount of Rs. 18,000/- p.m.(all inclusive). In addition, they will also be entitled for Rs.60000/-(Rs. Sixty Thousand) per annum at the end of the contract as a performance incentive, which will be based on the performance evaluated on the basis of various criteria, as per the institute rules.
Mere fulfillment of the minimum qualifications etc. will not vest any right on a candidate for being called for test /interview. The Institute reserves the right to short list the candidates for interview and relax the selection criteria in exceptional cases. Greetings from DELNET !
I take great pleasure in informing you that DELNET is organising a
one-day Brainstorming Seminar on Current Issues in Library & Information
Science: Emerging Challenges on Wednesday, October 7, 2015 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
at DELNET, JNU Campus, New Delhi.
The seminar is organised to deliberate on the major issues concerning
libraries and LIS professionals in the current scenario. A number of senior
LIS experts will be sharing their views and there will be a number of highly
interactive sessions to dwelve upon those issues. The subject is very
important keeping in view the changing information scenario,users expectations
& needs, content management issues and the need for new skillsets for LIS
Professionals.
There is no participation fee for attending the seminar. However, only 100
seats are available, the registration by working LIS Professionals shall be
done on first-cum-first-served basis.
Please note that DELNET will not payany TA/DA to attend the seminar.
